It was Geraldine's 21st celebration yesterday at Bottle Tree Park at Khatib. Quite an interesting and nice place. But I won't hold my birthday celebration there. It cost $1200 just to book the place and cater the food for 40 people. So ex! My 21st birthday party must be under $1000 and super super fun.

I finally deleted the smses that I held dear to. 534 of them. It took courage.The 11 months long affair has finally come to an end. A big thank you to all my dear friends who saw me through it, who heard my sorrows, my struggles, counseled and scolded me. I needed all that. LG & LG. ;) It wasn't easy at all of course, but it is not impossible either. I am living out Phil 3:13 - 14 in my life.

SOT was fantastic today. Pst Ming taught and boy oh boy was he interesting and humorous. U really have to go for his BSs man and u'll know what I mean. ;)

I'm going for a free haircut tmr! I think it is gonna be a major change of hairstyle. Yikes, nervous. :)

Zah. What's a bestowed with perfect eyesight person like me doing with such a huge, nerdy specs!!? HAHA. =P

SOT classes started today and guess what!? I just got 2 good paying tuition assignments today in a couple of hours! Just like that with no extra effort of looking for them on my part! PTL! =) He is good! :) The POG attracts tuition assignments. Haha.

Orientation was yesterday and I saw many familiar faces in SOT! Perez,Joelle, Michelle, Huiling, Delvina, Jing, Jeremy, Carol, Kee Wei, Kelvin,Aaron from SMU, Theresa, Aaron from Dance. Did I miss out anyone!? Haha.

My team 16, combined with 25 for the orientation games and we won 2nd runner up for best team! :) The prize was $30 attributes voucher for each of us! :) Thinking of using it to buy a best-selling pink in colour book about singlehood which I saw the last time I was at Attributes. Haha.

My team has about 20 pple, like 5 just graduated from poly, 5 final year in Uni and the rest of them are working adults but almost everyone is in their 20s. =) Samuel Soo is my new best friend here! A sometimes lame, but makes-me-laugh-and-nice brother. ;) He's my competition for the Best SOT Student award. Hehe.


With my SOT tag, nice? :) And of course, my new hairstyle. Haha . I was bored of my previous hairstyle so I went for bangs which only cost me 5 bucks. :D It's like a new hairstyle to mark a new chapter of my life. Prettier now not? LOL.

Choir practice in an hour and sleeping over at Joelle's hostel tonight! :)

I saw Xiaxue and Fiona Xie outside Zouk yesterday! Xiaxue is really short in person. Fiona was wearing a cap and kind of secretive. Toooo bad that I didnt get to take pics with them. But I made new friends! Amanda, Erica, Daniel, Natalie, just to name a few! And I bumped into Gab Ho who will always shout chiongster! when he sees me there. LOL. But we both know who the real chiongster is. Kingsley said he'll Phuture with me when he comes back, yayness. =D

Might be worth your $6 but not your $10. Haha. So maybe u wanna catch it online instead. =P

My 5th March

Constance Song Yi Fei called me today! If you have no idea who she is, click here. Well, it's the first time in 20 years of my life that a celebrity actually called me so I was excited, hehe. I always thought her voice is pretty unique and I got to hear it right before my ears myself, haha. I'm gonna give her sister tuition soon so she called to coordinate the timing. Constance's sis is my cousin's classmate. Haha. Singapore is a small world. And she actually didn't make her number private so I have her hp number and I'm saving it as Constance Song (celebrity!!!), lol. But yeah, I shall be professional at my tutoring nonetheless and I'm not gonna be an asshole and give her number away.

Anyways, I finally ventured out after cooping at home the past 2 days and had dinner with Evan, Vann, Yuling and Liu Jing!

Their presence makes me look forward to attending choir prac! =)

Then we headed on down to choir prac tgt. It was so enjoyable! =) We laughed so much during our ritualistic vocals training, here's why! :

Yeah we look retarded but we enjoyed ourselves so who cares! =D

Annabel said we need to improve in our vocal skills be it when it comes to rhythm or whatever we're weak in so yeah I gotta do that! I needa remember my parts and sing the right notes all the time! We rehearsed CCC's "Take a Hold of Me" and "You're Deserving". I love "Take a Hold of Me"! "God oh God, take a hold of me, turn me upside down, let's make history! Let yr power get inside me, show me all I can be!" Sing it out loud with all yr hearts this weekend pple! ;)

The passion for Choir is back again... I belong. =) I believe I'm here to stay. =)

My day was simple but yet it was full of joy and laughter. Just kept seeing things that made me smile and laugh. Robb Thompson said in his Daily Success Key today that "Everyday is a gift from God waiting to be unwrapped." Indeed it is so. May I always unwrap His gifts everyday and not leave them at a corner to collect dust! And my ear is not painful after we prayed for healing tgt during choir prac! =)

The left side of my face is swollen, no thanks to the bacterial infection in my left ear! Pain pain. =( I went to see the doc on Sun and he didn't give me any antibiotics. I went to get the antibiotics today at the clinic and it costs me $14 for ten pills. ('-')"' That's $1.40 for each pill... expensive leh!

Something strange happened today. I dreamt that my friend went to a jap restaurant with 2 girls and I wasn't invited. I told my friend and he said that my dream happened. He did went to a jap restaurant two days ago with 2 girls. The thing is . . . I had absolutely no idea. He did not mention a word about it to me at all . . . so how on earth could I have dreamt about it?

And in my dream, I remembered one of the girls had long hair and that there was salmon on the table. And that was exactly what it was.

And you know I don't believe in concidence.

Any reasonable explanation for this anyone?

My first day of the month was anything but boring! It was awesome! =) And full of surprises too! ;P

First time I wore this outfit. =) So glad to bump into Evan at Bedok's hawker centre.

Haha. We wear so nice go hawker centre... The chicken hanging behind sort of acts as a contrast! And oh oh, you-know-who's bro is the guy in white behind! =D

Hmmm, Jamie said I looked nice with my hair tied-up and all the girls agreed in unison!

The Leap Years

I went to catch 'The Leap Years' on a leap year day!

Loved it. Super touching. Romance to the ultimate. Loved the camera angles, loved the scipt, the plot, everything! Best local production about love ever.

My 7th and final movie of the month. =X Next month I better watch 'Step Up 2' only!

Revamp

I was so angry I had to channel my anger into doing something and I changed my blogskin. It took hours to perfect it can. (Oh oh, in case you think I designed this blogskin I didn't ok! I had to change the alignments, font size and stuff though.) I had wanted to revamp my blog for the longest time and I finally got down to doing it. Some people have complained about my previous blogskin - take too long to load, table not aligned, cannot see the words etc... So now, hopefully, my blog is completely user friendly to you!

Of course, I chose this blogskin becos it is black & pink colour (duh...), and I like how my entries are on the left and other stuff on the right. Also, it says " The City" which is significant becos yrs truly lives in the Lion City and is "a city set on a hill", heh heh. I am entertaining thoughts of becoming an Air Stewardess (entertain even more with the inception of the Aircrew Fellowship Ministry, ;P ) so that's where the aeroplane comes in handy! =)

And just hours after changing the blogskin, Janet, a.k.a the fashionista and super creative girl (who owns her own shop blog http://metalmouthinc.livejournal.com/ with the gorgeous Jamie ;) ) tagged that she really likes it! =) My only issue with this blogskin is that there is too much empty space (if only the non-empty portion can be wider) but too bad, cannot do anything about that!

My day started with hearing Debbie's voice when she gave me morning call. She's the best person you wanna ask to give morning call to you I tell u! The moment I picked up the phone, she went, "Wake up, wake up, wake up, wake up!!!!" I laughed out loud and got up immediately! Amazing. Haha. When Zhi Nian and Val give me morn calls, they're so sweet and nice I wouldn't wanna wake up! Lol.

So Debbie and I went to watch ' Ah Long Pte Ltd ' tgt at Vivocity. The movie was funny and the audience got to see a very tomboyish side of the otherwise feminine Fann yet again. The movie is not as good as his previous movies though. Oh well, let's hope that his next movie will be another box office hit like his 'I Not Stupid' and 'Just Follow Law'.

After that, we hopped onto the Sentosa Express and headed on down to Siloso Beach for my latest hobby - Beach Volleyball! We reached the beach around 4 plus and the volleyball courts were empty. These 2 female working adults who were around 25 came to play with us. One of them had a tattoo on her and was fierce! Haha. I think I won 2 games and lost 2. It was really fun and Debbie is now a fan too! Hehe.

It took courage to wear that tankini. LOL.

Solid Rock

Ooh ooh, I just came back from the Chingay parade!! I had a super fun and awesome time. And it wasn't as tough as I thought it would be! In fact, it was easy! Hee thank God. The best part about the whole experience was that I got to make many new friends! Serena, Kezia, Junjie, Carolyn, Ie Liang and many more.

Chingay is a once in a lifetime experience, like when I took part in NDP in 2001. I remembered catching last year's Chingay Parade on tv, wishing that I could be part of it! Glad to have represent my church and done so! =)

The last 5 years of my life, I've been taught how to love.

But what little idea I have of how not to love.

Now that is the difficult part.

Swollen Face!

I woke up on Tues morn to find the left side of my face swollen, no thanks to the infection that I got. The first thing that doc said when he saw me was, "What happened to you again?". LOL. He was the same doc I saw for my eye infection earlier this month. Well, my experience tells me that he is liberal with giving many days of MC and he likes to pre-warn (is there such a word?) you about the possibility of having to go through operation! The last time he really scared me by saying that I might have to go for operation for my eye infection when I thought it was simply a minor prob. In the end I was fine lah. (Aiyo, tupid doc scare me only, haha)

This time, he gave me 4 days of MC (not like I really need it since I dun have classes, but I just take lah). I couldn't really eat properly the the last 2 days cos my wound would hurt when I open my mouth slightly wider. Thank God it's less painful now and I could eat properly today! =) And thanks so much dear friends for your concern and for praying for me. I am loved. =)

Pls continue to keep me in your prayers cos my face is still swollen and the antibiotics that doc gave me is a killer. It gives me gastric pain and heart burns but I have to take it.

Daddy, no matter what happens, I still know that You are good. Whatever can be shaken, will be shaken. You are still the best to me. Other people may hurt me from time to time, but You? You will never ever hurt me. I love You. =)

Focus

If your highest desire is for your organisation to grow but you focus on writing books, speaking at conferences, recording albums etcetera (I finally know how this word is spelled in full! =) It means so on and so forth. Etc. in short. ;) ) that's your true direction.

The things that we mentally, emotionally and spiritually focus on will determine where we will arrive.

Pet Peeves

Hello, if you are my friend and you treasure me and our friendship, kindly take note of these pet peeves that will affect how I view you and our friendship. If you dun already know, 'a pet peeve (or pet hate) is a minor annoyance that can instill great frustration in an individual (Wikipedia) .'

Everybody has their pet peeves, I'm telling you mine. It's not cos I'm angry or still angry with you for it, I just want to inform you so that you would understand and hopefully not allow such things to happen again.

Pet Peeve #1: Not reply my sms (of course those that requires a response from you).

If I ever send an sms or share my prob with you or tell you that I'm sad or something relatively important and you don't reply? Oh my gosh, I will be even more sad I tell you. It doesn't matter if you are too busy to reply (which is really a stupid excuse, c'mon lah, how long does it take for you to send u an sms? 3 mins the most!) or that you have to reply late as long as you DO reply. NOT REPLYING IS EQUIVALENT TO IGNORING ME AND WHAT KIND OF REAL FRIENDS DO THAT? And if you dun reply becos u want to save 5 cents? I say keep your money and dun ever sms me again. Is not our friendship worth more than 5 cents? Am I not worth your 5 cents?

Pet Peeve #2: SAY I'll CALL YOU BACK AND THEN NOT CALL BACK!!!!

Zah............ At least 3 persons have done this to me. When you said, "I'll call you back", you meant it right!!??? If you didn't, can you not say it!? Pls for goodness sake becos I will take you for your word when you say that. I know some people say it out of habit... very subconsciously... but I hope you will change this habit becos when you say "I'll call you back", I'm taking it that you WILL call me back. If you dun actually have any intention of calling me back, just dun say it!!! I quote from Phil Pringle, " Our credibility rests on our words coming to pass. Those we lead trust us in large measure on the basis of what we said will happen actually happening."

Pet Peeve # 3: Hurl vulgarities at me. [This shouldn't even be classified as a pet peeve to begin with becos it is not just a minor annoyance, it is blatant inconsideration, an outright weapon.]

Pls dun ever "f**k" or "what the hell!!" me even when you are angry with me. IT IS GOING TO HURT. Being angry doesn't give you the right to hurl vulgarities at me. If some random acquaintance hurls those words at me, it wouldn't really matter becos they dun mean anything to me but if I treasure you and you use those words at me?? Man, it is really going to hurt.
