Finally a Blog-worthy Saturday!

So much energy even at 2+ am (took a nap in the afternoon!) so it’s finally time to blog! Been procrastinating this entry for a couple of day! *smacks my naughty blogger butt* LOLL!

Dim Sum

Since the last dim sum lunch I had with my friends at the above eating place (I won’t call it a restaurant cos the interior is quite bleah if u know what I mean) somewhere in Geylang a few wks back, I’ve been very gian (Hokkien word for strong desire) to have a cheap dim sum buffet cos I felt that the one we had wasn’t value for money!

So finally last Saturday, Aaron and I went to have a dim sum buffet but the cheap one (less than $20) at a restaurant we found on a list that Ladyironchef posted on his blog was actually closed down. :(

Replacing it was Pearl Garden restaurant & after taxes & service charge the bill amounted to $40 per person! Absolutely not worth it! I should have called before going! *beats chest*

Please don’t go there even though I’m talking about it because it’s really not worth the money! Very ironic I know but here are some pictures to tantalize yr taste buds!

P1010247 This porridge was delicious!

P1010245 text Thanks to Aaron for helping me write the words!
Teach me Photoshop asap plssss cos I’m a handicapped blogger now, boo hoo hoo!

P1010248
Horrible horrible Char Siew Bao. Even those 80 cents kind in coffee shops tastes better lor!

P1010249
Below average spring rolls. :(

After the buffet, I headed to Sasa at Bugis Junction to have my night makeup done for clubbing later that night! The makeup artist, Jolin, was friendly & efficient as always! :) Having ultra-awesome makeup with fake eyelashes, superchio eye shadows & all never fails to up my confidence level a notch! ;)

Reached Expo Hall 8 at like 5.29pm(phew)! Pst Kong preached about Crisis & I had a fave part but I shall leave it for a particular blog post in time to come! It’s gonna be good so stay tuned!! :)

P1010250 The Inseparables!

P9180252 My bible study student & 21st Birthday boy looked like
a preacher with the huge bible in his hands & that long sleeved shirt! =p

We headed to the recently opened Esplanade Xchange! They seriously didn’t do any marketing (at least not tt I know of) so I’m guessing most Singaporeans haven been there nor heard of it even unless they passed by! It’s not even up on SMRT's shopping website though it’s been opened for more than 2 months! Somebody say lousy!

We went to a restaurant called Rock & Ash to celebrate Edward’s birthday! The place was average I would say! Worth a try though cos the prices are reasonable. $9.90 and above meal combos! Their specialty is different flavored fries! They even have fries with chocolate sauce but we didn’t try! Boo hoo!

P9180256 Vann’s chicken fillet & fries!

Oh anyway, they get an ‘A’ for their service standard cos they gave Val and Vann a complimentary potato & cheese side dish each after mixing up their orders & making them wait at least 20 mins! AND, when my order was not what I expected it to be (the Potato Gratin I initially ordered is like only 2 mouthfuls of serving, don’t order!!), the staff/boss gladly let me order another meal & refunded the difference, no questions asked! How awesome! Restaurants with insincere service, are you listening?

P9180253 “I wish… to be a millionaire by age 30”!
No lah, actually he wished for greater capacity.
Yes, the cafe we bought the cake from didn’t have candles. =S

P9180258
But that didn’t stop the BD boy from blowing. Haha! =p

P9180259 The designer was very proud of her creation.
But the receiver couldn’t keep his eyes wide open with flash!
Somebody say _______! HEH! =P

P9180262
Victor,”I like to qiang jin tou (be in the spotlight)”! =p

P9180266
Our gift to him was a Zara t-shirt. Nice!? :)

P9180267
Yes, we love Zara or what?

After dinner it was time to get buttered! I haven clubbed since Oct last year so I was really looking forward to it! Almost a year of club-fast (not deliberate), I’m like so over clubbing cos it’s getting boring…. I’m turning 23 sooon, booooo!

Rid, "I'm soooo ready to partaayy!"

Initially, I was a little upset when I realized tt Rid got us on the guest list of Fash which plays electro music but we couldn’t go into Bump, the main Hip Hop room (cos I thought he told me tt he could). In the end we paid the entrance fees to get into the latter sometime close to midnight so it was all gd!

62015_432236774031_752419031_4998747_8065291_n Did you know that Forlino, where Xiaxue had her wedding, is just right beside Butter Factory!?
Vann & I were mad excited we ran in to pose in front of the atas interiors!

I only realized I forgot to take my camera with me after I checked it in at the counter & the bitch girl at the counter said I had to pay another $2 if I wanted to take anything out! DAYLIGHT ROBBERY!

Zouk gives complimentary bag check-ins & most clubs I know do so why is Butter Factory so stingy/greedy!? $2 to check in a bag I can undertstand but to make us pay again when we need to put or take something out!? And what’s more, when you check in yr bag together w/ another for example, you have to pay $4 to take something out from one of them! Simply ridiculous & a major turn off! Butter Factory’s team, I hope you are reading this!

Rid brought along 3 other NUS friends, two of whom were from India too & they were really gd-looking! Check them out! Stole photos from their Facebook cos one of them brought a camera & took photos but the camera turned out to be their friend’s and I haven got the pics until now!Punishment for leaving my cam in the bag. :(

Introducing Varoun Gandhi!
Looks damn handsome in this photo & so model-esque right!?
And really friendly & dances well too. HOT!

61699_1493611434614_1663902016_1137379_2474986_n Okay this photo doesn’t do Ris justice cos can’t fully see his
handsome face but that’s about the only decent profile pic in his FB!
I’m guessing he only joined it recently!

He’s transferring from Computer Science to Mass Comm cos he doesn't like the former after taking it for a couple of weeks! I hope the appeal went through! Did u, did u!? :)

Their fave pose!

The Indians were the real party animals and spenders!

The charming star of the night!

Exposed!

 Jon Ong, where were u!?

Butter Factory’s experience tt night was only so so. The music was really average, the crowd was 90% working adults in their late 20s & above and they didn’t had any smoke machines.

No smoke and no gd music equals to un-spectacular partying atmosphere. :( Still no club I went to in Singapore can top Phuture. How sad! Hmmmm, maybe I should open one in the future that will!! What should I name it? The Better Future!? How LAME!!! LOLL.

Before.

After! It was Jon Goh’s virgin clubbing at 21 yrs old!
Never kissed, never clubbed till 21, so innocent can!?

Wen Long was even more high! No lah, he wasn't drunk!
We had barely a few sips of Volka Ribena/Volka Sprite
and ordered orange juice and coke in the end and they
taste so much better! HA!

But really, we mostly went to celebrate for Edward so hope u had a fabulous 21st Birthday! Pls pls pls arrange Bible Study classes with me sooon ultra-hardworking businessman! :)

62015_432236779031_752419031_4998748_6924507_n
Partayyy everyday, partayyy everyday!

No lah, seriously, partying is actually very physically draining! I dunno how the working adults do it on a Wed night still manage to survive working 9 to 6 the next day! K-kinda crazy!

Btw, Jamie, Ade, why don't yr take part in the Mango Fashion Bloggers contest!? Mango shopping vouchers to be won! Go go go! Advertisement at top left!

P.S: Varoun can I have the photos soon pretty pretty pls? *pouts* Got them and updated! Thank you! :)
