Nuffnang & Toast Box invited some bloggers and I to try out their newly unveiled flavors last week! It was my 1st food tasting event so I was pretty excited and nervous at the same time! =D
Thankfully Stephen was one of the invited bloggers too
& he made me feel at home straight away & vice versa! =D
Before we jump into their new flavors, let’s look at some of the old favorites!
I immediately associated with BreadTalk’s Floss bun haha. I googled Toast Box and lo & behold, ToastBox is actually one of the companies under the BreadTalk Group! Didn’t know that! So is Food Republic, Ding Tai Fung & the new restaurant, RamenPlay! =O I salute the founder of BreadTalk, zai!
Some may think that Singapore doesn’t have our own unique identity and culture as compared to the world but we do, and it is most evident in our food!
I should buy one for my grandma, I think she’ll find it a novelty. Okay, now for the new flavors!!
I hardly ever order mango drinks when I’m out and neither do I eat the fruit at home but I really digged this drink! Didn’t leave anything behind hehe.
It is made up of mango puree + fresh milk. Thumbs up for no syrup! Aloe Vera is also great for the skin so girls, this drink is a must try when you visit ToastBox. Initially I thought a drink like this would costs 4 to 6 bucks at a cafe but it’s only $2.80! So super worth it lah.
If you like Pepsi, then surely you will give Pepsi Calamansi a shot, insanely affordable at $2.50! Most restaurants & clubs charge at least $4 for a can of Pepsi alone lor. (– _ –)’’’
It is made from Toast Box’s own concoction of Tom Yam paste, chopped fresh garlic, chili & spring onion. It’s only slightly spicy so it is “tongue-friendly”even for pple who don’t take spicy food like me! Hehe.
It will just make you very happy when you put it into your mouth. If only I can have this for breakfast every other day, hehe. I would definitely want to visit Toast Box again for this!
Totally not gonna dine at another cafe which happens to be near the S*cape outlet I was at. Their slogan is “Take Your Time” & they literally take their time to serve you rite? LOL.
The Toast Box outlet at S*cape also has this beautiful sofa which I can imagine would make the whole experience there really cosy and enjoyable.
Last, but definitely NOT least ... Literally!
The Hainanese kaya ice cream was perfect for a sweet tooth like me on a hot afternoon! You can mix & match any of the flavors! It is priced at $4.80 & at $5.80 with a drink, ideal for sharing if u want to cut down on calories hehe. Initially I thought the toppings on top were raisins but they’re actually red beans. If one doesn’t fancy red beans, there is also the option of grated peanuts or roasted almond flakes! Can I have everything? =p
Super love Stephen's photography skills!
Not only is the boss of Toast Box smart & entrepreneurial, his company also does its part for the community!
Till 31st July, Toast Box will donate 10 cents off every purchase of their new flavors to Abilities Beyond Limitations and Expectations (ABLE), where the physically challenged will be empowered to contribute back to society.
Surely Singapore would benefit from more of such social entrepreneurial initiatives. No company is more attractive to me than a creative one that constantly improves & launches new products and yet, find the time and energy to help those in need. Impressive!
Here’s to Toast-ing with LOVE! ♥
