If my boyfriend likes it, he should put a ring on it! And... the next Miss Singapore Universe to be!

I’m counting down to 16 April cos that’s my boyfriend’s final day in SMU!  Hopefully he will be employed very soon and start earning a decent $2.5 to $3k every month… then… we can get married earlier! Tee hee!

I’ve always wanted to formally tell the world about him… he’s really a very talented man. He does web designing, graphic design and video editing. He also aced his Computing in JC and is a programming genius! I tell you, whenever his project mates dunno how to program, he’ll be the man they count on! Just last year, the iPhone application that he and his project mates wrote won some Stand Chart award, $2k per person!

The hottest model at Fashion In The Sky, woo hoo!

On top of his many talents, he’s a very, very nice guy. And that is also both his greatest strength and his greatest weakness. People, like myself (HAHA), are inclined towards taking him for granted. I can’t even tell you the countless times that business owners approached him for video editing, design, etc, ask for discounts and he agrees to them! I’m usually not very happy when he does that. :) Hello, my future wedding is at stake! And not to mention the 2 words, “Spoil market!”

I have a secret desire for him to transfer to my zone! Oops! It’s not a secret anymore, *poses with hand on mouth*! I know he’ll have so much fun and have a great time here and…. we could really benefit from his many talents! Tooooo many people marrying out of my zone already, it’s time for people to marry in for a change! And I certainly don’t mind being the history maker! Hiak hiak hiak! Shout out to Vanessa Wong: Pls don’t leave DT zone! Ask JX to come! Hahaha!

And yes, back to the topic on marriage… Time to talk about my dream… “I WANT TO HAVE A BOYFRIENDDDDD… I WANT TO GET MARRIED!!!!!!! I WANT TO HAVE CHILDREN!!!” Hahahahhaha. Kidding!

The best wedding is not one you can pay yourself, it's the best one when everything is sponsored! Just like Xiaxue's!

See the place so atas one. And finally I see her father.... how come Xiaxue talks about her mum on her blog but not her dad? Hmmm... Photo from http://demoments.sg/.

I saw some very ingenious wedding gowns online.. they come with POCKETS! Lazy to credit the sources so pardon me!

Sort of a androgynous, elegant look?

It’ll be so fabulous! I’ll be able to keep my mobile phone with me and do real time tweeting! I can also answer phone calls from ignorant guests who can’t find the wedding venue! No, pls don’t call me on my wedding day, I’ll be terribly busy and I'll go mad if ten people starts calling me and asking which floor, how to come, etc! I will give good directions on my wedding invitations no worries and most likely Aaron will be the one designing it! *wide grin*

I think Janet would love this. :) She likes ribbons. :)

Tissue papers in the pocket will also be a must! In case I tear after saying my vows, which I think, I’m very capable of considering how I view marriage as the day I start a family filled with warmth and happiness! And…. I HAD BETTER NOT SNEEZE ON MY WEDDING DAY, GAWD, THAT WOULD BE SO UNGLAM AND EMBARASSING! *AH CHOO!!!*

I can't wear this, my legs are too ugly to be seen!

I have the boobs to pull this off! Hehehe!

That said,  I don’t think such wedding gowns will be cheap… BUT, it’s free to dream! =)

Annabel was so kind, she was talking on FB about her experience in a gym toilet where some aunties were discussing about how to satisfy their husbands….

My relatives have neverrrr in a million years praised me like that before! Lol.

For those that don’t know who Annabel is, she won the Most Gorgeous Female 2009! She also kindly modeled for us at FITS. We were in the same School of Theology batch in 2008. I’ve never met another like her, gorgeous yet humble, smart and yet so willing to volunteer herself, sophisticated, friendly and ever so encouraging!

 That million dollar smile...

She’s also one of the finalists in Miss Singapore Universe 2010! No, not the Ris Low one, that’s Miss World Singapore! I’m definitely rooting for you to win girl! Check out the RazorTV interview she did a few months back!

[Video removed cos stupid RazorTV's video are all automatically played, very annoying I know, prob to hike up their poor viewership (I was paid money to do a focus group with regards to online video channels, Razor TV in particular, I would know!), even my genius programmer bf can't make it NOT play auto. But u can still watch it by clicking here! Yes, I still love you Annabel! Go girl go! :)]

Soooooo charming right!? =) Annabel, maybe you should be the next senior pst of CHC, u fit all the criteria - good-looking, 25 yrs old, smart, anointed, contemporary… Hahaha, kidding lah! =D Following yr blog, love your entries, keep em’ coming! Xoxo!

You've been a very bad girl. A very very bad, bad girl Wen Wen!

I shall tone this down because my friends have kindly warned me about how raw anger leads to folly and so this is my attempt to bring a message across without cursing and swearing. She is definitely entitled to her own opinions, no doubt about that, and so am I, thank you very much.

FYI, I really like her singing. She was one of the finalists that almost made it into the Top 24 of the last Singapore Idol. Yes, the one that fell down the staircase on National TV after she found out that she didn't make the cut. Not that most of us can remember anyway! =)

WOW, SO SMART. =)

OH WOW, the analysis that Maressa made is so factual and accurate! Please log in to your Facebook and read all about the wonderful article! All this nonsense shit about Jack Neo is nothing but a "set up", it's actually all fake so let's rejoice! Woo hoo!! *pops champagne*

I'm amazed that the journalists and the editors were so intelligent to spend hours and hours writing about Jack Neo, waiting outside his house just hoping to get a scoop when it's all but a set up! Aiyo, Straits Times, how could you be so gullible to fall into Jack Neo's trap!? I thought you were smarter than that! I thought you could be "trusted"!

And and.... I'm so astounded that my pastor, who just won the Young Global Leader Award, actually bothered to take time out of his packed schedule to counsel Jack and Irene when all these were simply nothing but Jack's attempt to create more publicity for himself! Pastor, how could you win the YGL award and be a top scholar when you're actually so dumb!?

And Foyce, OH MY GAWD FOYCE, YOU WENT TO LODGE A POLICE REPORT AGAINST JACK FOR HARASSING YOU?  Oh no....................... you do know that making a false police report can end you up in jail? Say bye bye to your singing career! *pricks the bubble*

I merely typed 2 paragraphs and you know what she replied? =)

*Turns to 5-yr-old cousin*,

"What happens when you don't like what you're seeing on the newspapers boy?"

"Flip to the next page jie jie!"

"And what would you do when you don't like the news you're reading online?"

"Oh, I just close the browser jie jie or don't read lor. Or go play my Pet Society!
No point getting irritated over it mah. =) "

" Wow di di, you are so incredibly mature and smart for your age! =) "

No. 1 - You can CHOOSE what you want to put "in your face." It's entirely up to you. If you're damn irritated with it, common sense tells you that if you want to be angry, you should be angry with who? The journalists who wrote the articles of course. They were the ones who wanted to write about it, partly because they want to sell more newspapers. If not, why don't you call the boss of Straits Times a "leech"?  Kind of a double standard don't you think? =)

No. 2 - Oh wow, I insulted you when I didn't even specifically say that you were a naysayer! I was talking about naysayers in general, Oops! I guess you feeling insulted must mean that you really acknowledge yourself as one! =)

Sorry I stepped on your toes Maressa! Honey Bee to Lady Wen:
"You've been a very bad girl.

A very very bad, bad girl Wen Wen!"

Wait there's more!

No. 3 - The movie hasn't even come out and she's already infuriated. Wait till the movie comes out, if it really does, she's gonna go boomz! No one, not even Jack Neo himself knows whether he will definitely make a movie out of this whole thing yet. It's just an idea! And look at her very friendly reaction! =) She "honestly has no need to be angry" at all indeed! *round of applause* And... What kind of legacy is she leaving behind for her kids when they read this blog entry 20 years later? An awesome one! About how she hated someone and called him names who is completely unrelated to her and has done her no wrong!

No. 4 - Movie goers who would want to watch his movie are forced against their own wills to go! Oh man, Jack, how could you force me to watch your movies for so many years!? So incredibly low class you know! Stop smoking people to go watch your movies already! I will tell all my friends to boycott your movies! Especially the one that will be related to yr affair! Shame on you! And... throw away your Cultural Medallion Award pls! It means nothing to Maressa! You know why? Cos she wants to turn a blind eye to any of the good in this whole thing, only because she chose to. =)

Jack Neo’s Confession & Gaga’s Latest Crazyyy Video!

I tweeted Jack Neo my blog add on Wed & Thurs and he might have been inspired after reading it because…. he had just openly shared a confession on his blog today! =p Hahaha. I translated it into English for my non-Mandarin speaking blog readers as well as for those who suck in Chinese! Haha, I’m not saying that mine is perfect! =p

Confession  告白

I am very sorry for all the things that I have done. 我对我所做的一切感到非常抱歉。

I have a good wife and a happy family but I did not treasure it, causing myself to land in such a situation today.   我有一个好太太和幸福的家庭,但我却没有好好珍惜,搞到今天这个下场。

My betrayal had deeply hurt my wife and children, and I am regretfully sorry and sorrowful. The thing that touches me the most is that my wife, in her most painful moment, grit her teeth and chose to forgive me and I am very thankful for her graciousness and love towards me. By not leaving and  choosing to cling unto me, she had allowed me to keep our family intact.

After understanding the disappointment felt by my parents, siblings, as well as friends, old schoolmates and relatives who have trusted in me, fans and movie buffs who have supported me, I really feel extremely ashamed. I have let everyone down and brought it upon myself. 至于我的父母和兄弟姐妹,还有一路来信任我的亲戚朋友老同学和风雨不改支持我的影迷粉丝,了解他们对我的失望之后,我真的感到无地自容。我辜负了大家,咎由自取。

An extra-martial relationship is a family’s personal affair and many have told me that as long as my wife and family forgives me, it already enough; that I do not need to care about anything else. But to ponder over it, for the past twenty over years, all of you had followed and grew up together with my television programs and movies; were familiar with and caring towards me, giving me your unreserved support and encouragement, how can I treat all of you as outsiders? Hence, my wish is that I may receive your forgiveness as well.

There is a saying, that ‘one will reap whatever they sow’. In the past, I’ve often used this line in scripts to strengthen the plots in my movies; little did I know that this time, the saying came true in my own life. ‘What man are doing, heaven is watching’, don’t ever think that retribution is not real and don’t ever think that one can hide in the dark to do evil things and “heaven” won’t see it. My plight had proved just that.

This saga to me, is a very painful, as well as a very valuable awakening, allowing me to always remember the importance of cherishing my wife and family because they are life’s most precious treasure. 这件事对我来说,是一个非常痛苦但也是非常珍贵的醒悟。让我牢牢记住,好好珍惜太太和家人的重要,因为他们是你人生中最宝贵的宝藏。

Irene and I will continue to work hard to cultivate a successful and fulfilled marriage. I will also be very cautious of my words, actions and the way I treat all women, preventing misunderstandings from arising; and to be even more faithful to my wife, putting my family as a top priority. 美凤和我会一起继续努力,经营成功和美满的婚姻,我也会更加小心自己的言行举止和对待所有女生的方式,避免引起误会,也要对老婆更加的忠心,一切以家庭为主。

There is no way to turn back time and eradicate the wrongs that I have done. I am a human being that makes mistakes. Though I have admitted my misgivings from the onset, I would still like to plead that all of you can forgive me, and to give me a second chance. 我犯的错已经回不了头,我是一个凡人,会犯错,虽然我在第一时间已经承认了我的过错,但是对于关心我的人,我还是要在一次的祈求你们的原谅,给我一次重生的机会。

Although my wife and children had forgiven me, our relationship will still take some time to mend. I would also like to specially thank the people who have loved, encouraged and supported me during this period. 虽然老婆孩子已经原谅了我,但是,这段关系还是需要一些时间医治,我也要特别感谢在这期间,爱我鼓励我和支持我的朋友们。

I strongly believe that our Lord Jesus will not abandon me in my hour of difficulty. 我深信,主耶稣不会在苦难的时候离我而去的。

He won’t Jack… when everyone else fails you or when you fail everyone else… only God will not tui bu qi ni (let you down). :) I hope I get to see you and your family happier and closer than ever before! My own family is still far from the joy and happiness that you were talking about! I guess my time will come! :)

Btw, some Singaporeans are saying that Jack's wife shouldn't forgive him and that she's weak in doing so, etc. I think some may think that forgiving someone means you condone his or her actions? It's not true. Forgiving someone means acknowledging the hurt that the person have caused you but no longer holding onto a grudge against them. You forgiving someone is an act of graciousness and nobility on your own part but that does not equate to saying that what the person did was okay. Irene and the children may have forgiven Jack but he still has to change his ways and pay a price to regain their trust and to rebuild their relationship. Not to mention the public scrutiny and the over-zealous media that he had to endure. That was him reaping what he had sowed.

To end off again, here is the latest music video from Lady Gaga, Telephone! Just premiered today! It’s crazy!! If you are a judgmental, conservative and faint-hearted Christian, I mean, person, I beseech you to do yourself a favor and not watch it! *sticks out tongue* Hahaha! Watch out for what the prison wardens said after throwing her into jail, loves it! Hahaha! It's a sequel to her Paparazzi video btw!

Life’s A Movie… Only Real

I woke up at 10 plus and the 1st thing I did was to go to Twitter & behold! This @cnalatest tweet appeared before my eyes, "Neo's wife, Irene fainted after the news conference and the director and staff screamed at the media who swamped to the stage to take photos."

Firstly, I’m really surprised that a press conference was held so quickly! Tang Wing Fai, Jack’s manager, said that Jack will “ tell all … after the dust has settled” in this Straits Times article published on Monday. 3 days later, has the dust settled? I’m guessing Jack took a step of faith to do that even before the dust has really settled, especially when he and his wife have now reconciled.

In my blog post yst I said,‘I think that Jack shouldn’t wait till the dust has settled before speaking out, he should do it now and do it fast because the truth will set people free. Or else, the public will just keep speculating about the affairs and tian you jia chu or women that were linked to Jack Neo in the past would just keep spilling the beans. Am I right to think this way, Pastor Tan?’

I took the liberality to tweet the post link to Pst Tan becos I wanted him to know that I was writing about him and to correct the facts if they’re wrong. I don’t know if he read it since he’s a really really busy man holding many portfolios – the second man in-charged of SEA’s largest church, founder of CityCare, a humanitarian organization; and is also a father of 4 young children.

But just a few hours after I published the entry and tweeted him, I found some links that said Jack will hold a press conf the day after. Could it be that Pst Tan, after reading my blog entry, suggested to Jack that he should hold a press conf quickly? I can only imagine.

ST PHOTO: DESMOND LIM

I think that the press conference wasn’t really a press conference because both Jack and Irene are still emotionally distraught and could not reveal much. It had ended in just less than 5 mins. Read about it here.

Irene had almost fainted and the photographers rushed forward to snap pics and Jack Neo shouted at them to get away. Very, very dramatic right!? But this is not a scene from a movie, it happened in real life.

I just watched the clip and I almost teared. The photographers CANNOT MAKE IT... Shoot one million times since the moment they stepped in also cannot get good photos??? Both of them were talking also didn't pause but keep shooting? Not even a least bit sensitive to how Irene feels? She's not a celebrity leh, hello. 1st time in front of so many photographers, sure nervous one. She fell down then they still keep pushing to come forward??? Wa liao, angry.

Saw Jimmy, our church's main security in-charged in the clip. He tweeted this, "Getting breaking news at the expense of your humanity makes you less human... Have been doing this for 6 years. I can handle thieves, sex predators, hostiles... But those w/o conscience? It's my 1st time..."

I loved how Jack's staff or friend, the actor, screamed at the photographers to scram. They totally deserved it. If it were me, I would do the same!

I guess I got my answer to this question, “ Am I right to think this way, Pastor Tan?” I wasn’t right, I was wrong. Both Jack and his wife are too emotionally distraught to handle the media… The wounds will take some time to heal. Jack did not tell all about his affairs and I hope that you reading this would not demand it as well.

Finally, Straits Times has revealed which church Jack is attending in this online article and in today’s papers. Someone from my church, I wonder who, told the papers, 'We are counseling them to reconcile and rebuild their marriage. Irene has forgiven Jack and they are together, spending quality time and going through a process of healing. For now, the church has advised Neo 'to put rebuilding his marriage as his top priority'.

That my friends, is the difference between
Jack Neo’s scandal and Tiger Wood’s.

I am very very very amazed at Irene’s ability to forgive Jack. If I were to put myself in her situation, I don’t think I’ll be able to forgive him so quickly or even see him eye to eye ever again. Married women out that, what are your opinions? If your husband cheats on you, will you forgive him? If the affair was played out in public and it’s not just one woman but several of them, will you forgive him? Jack is right, he is one blessed man to have such a gracious wife. I salute them.

More than 120 people had read my blog yst but 99% chose to be silent about it and I do not know why. The one comment that didn’t prove me wrong about Singaporeans is from this person who also called the models of Fashion In The Sky short and ugly, “ I hate Jack Neo. Disgraceful piece of human being.” Sigh, you are gonna get into a lot of trouble in the future if you continue being so critical girl. :(

Fellow City Harvesters reading this, I do not know what you are thinking at this moment except for the few that responded but I hope that you of all people, will not be the one to cast a stone at Jack. He’s not just a famous movie director that you know anymore; he is your fellow brother-in-Christ that belongs in the same church as you, so does his wife and his children. If there is anything the family needs now, it is our earnest prayers.

To end off, the editor of City News Weekly, Theresa Tan, had direct msged me on Twitter to say that she had read my blog and to look out for an article this weekend!  Yay I love my church! =) I hope the article however, will tell me something that I will not be able to read on newspapers anywhere else. That’s the purpose of news isn’t it? It has to be fresh and most importantly, it has to be real. But to do it like the way the photographers did in the clip? Completely unnecessary.

Singapore’s Most Popular/Notorious Film Director at the Moment is also My Fellow Church Member

I won’t forget the variety show that brought much laughter to my life when I was just a kid, Comedy Night. I’ve also been a faithful follower of Jack Neo’s movies ever since 1998 when I was just 11 years old. I’ve watched 13 of his moviesMoney No Enough 钱不够用, I Not Stupid 小孩不笨, Just Follow Law 我在政府部门的日子 , Love Matters 幸福万岁, Where Got Ghost 吓到笑 , Being Human 做人 and more. You name it. :) Not only did I LMAOed, I also teared while watching several of them because the poignant scenes touched my heart. I particularly remember sobbing, and I really do mean sobbing, at some scenes in Homerun 跑吧,孩子 and I Not Stupid Too 小孩不笨2 because I found myself relating to the plight of the actors in the movies... there was a deep connection within my soul. I would even encourage my friends to go catch his movies, clearly, I had been impacted by them.

I was getting my hair styled at Chapter 2 on Sunday afternoon for Fashion In The Sky when I first saw the headlines off my Twitter via @stcom and my jaw dropped in disbelief. Is this for real?? Or is this just some publicity stunt for his new movie? I quickly opened the news link.

When I realized that the actress who played the character of Mark Lee’s sister-in-law in Being Human 做人 is the mistress in question, I was like… no wonder! I caught the movie just 4 days ago and couldn’t help but feel that the actress was out of place… I thought her looks really didn’t fit in with her character or the overall feel of the movie. What’s more, she’s 22 years old, only 1 year younger than me! I can hardly imagine myself having a relationship with someone who is as old as my father… and S’pore’s most well-known director at that!

I first saw Jack Neo in person at a church event at Singapore Indoor Stadium back in 2007... He came to know about us as he used City Harvest Church’s office in Suntec City to film an “explosion” scene for Just Follow Law, most other offices had turned him away. That fateful day, I vividly remember seeing Pastor Tan Ye Peng talking to him from the angle where I was standing. They were only a few rows away from the front of the stage. Straits Times didn’t mention names but I believe that the pastor mentioned in this article is none other than Pastor Tan himself. I think one of the reasons why Straits Times didn’t publicize which church Jack Neo is attending is due to the religious sensitivity we have in this country. If I were a non-Christian bitch ass journalist or a CHC hater, my 1st instinct would be to write this headline, “Jack Neo, a Member of Singapore’s Largest Church, Exposed for His Extra-marital Affairs, Pastor Stands by Him” and interview key church leaders and the members for their point of view. Will this be allowed in Straits Times? I guess not right? Especially when the government is stressing that we need to carefully maintain the religious harmony that we “enjoy”. Haha.

The second time I saw Jack Neo in person was at another church service at Expo Hall 8, and his family members were present as well. I was standing not more than 20 meters away from him… and I saw a smile on his face when one of his sons responded to the altar call.

Jack and his family with Senior Pastor, Kong Hee
and church staff Wenling on the far right. (Source: www.chc.org.sg)

Subsequently, I have only seen him on 2 separate occasions in 2008 and both times he was on stage sharing about his film-making experience, addressing thousands of us. Do I think that the church leadership had made a mistake by helping him promote his movies and getting him to talk to us? Definitely not, because our objective was and still is to help people, even imperfect ones.

That said, I believe that the church leadership was unaware of his extra-marital affairs previously. Had they known, would they still had given him a platform? If I can rightly discern my church leaders well…. I believe they would, after having counseled him and taught him what the bible says but would leave the ball in his court. We are unable to and we cannot and must not force our members to leave sin behind against their own free will anyway. Pastor Kong can preach his heart out to us every week but ultimately, it is still our choice as to the actions that we choose to take. If we choose to sin, then the consequences of it, we have to bear. I believe they wouldn’t give him no platform at all…I like to believe that my church leadership is not as narrow-minded as that... =) After all, we teach people to hate the sin but to love the sinner and to use our talents to benefit society.

However, I wished that Pastor Tan and his personal church friends had developed a deeper relationship with him such that his affairs would have been brought to light and dealt with BEFORE the media came to know of it. That could have saved him and the mistress from a lot of unwanted public scrutiny... Alas, I guess that was not possible with Jack’s tight schedule as a Director; filming must have stretched across many weekends or had taken place overseas or he could have simply kept a distance deliberately for fear of being discovered. As such, I believe Jack was not attending church services regularly in the last 3 years. Do correct me if I’m wrong.

As a new 3-year-old believer, I am not surprised that he still has skeletons in his closet. On a personal note, I have been attending CHC regularly every week for the last 7 years now and I could still remember those days when I was living in sin. Up till now, I still struggle with anger and a lack of patience, just to name a few. But thank heavens I am not a celebrity or I would have lived a life 10 times more horrible when my sins are being found out. The thing about sin is that it has it’s consequences  whether you like it or not, a big time sinner like me would know, and Jack is paying his dues now. If you are reading this and you are in an extra-marital affair, please get out of it now before it’s too late, before you destroy yourself and your family with you...

What caught my attention isn’t the number of women that Jack was entangled with or how ugly, or how young they are. What surprised me was his wife’s response - according to the reports, she had apparently knew of the affair a year ago but chose to keep quiet and did not confront him about it! That to me, is… such a high level of Nirvana I don’t think I can ever attain!

I cannot fathom if my future husband commits adultery. I probably will go crazy and ignore him for the next 10 gazillion years. Or I might be so furious I would chop off his penis or something! Aaron Lee Kwang Siong, pls don’t ever do that to me in the future, I might not be able to forgive you! That said, if I ever commit adultery, you don’t have to forgive me either! Though I really don’t believe or think I will... But then again, even the great King Solomon in all his glory and wisdom fell prey. Oh God pls, NO! Help me, I don’t ever want to follow in my father’s footsteps or suffer the same plight that many wives had. :( I think 3 out of every 5 married man cheat on their wives, shit.

Yes, my father had a mistress when I was in Junior College. He came home one night and called her with our house phone. He was in our living room while I was studying in my room. He was talking to her in a very flirting manner in his usual loud voice and I could hear every single word he said. I was completely and utterly disgusted and disappointed… He didn’t even had the decency or the intelligence to speak softly or make the call elsewhere even though my brother and I were at home! What ensued was even more scary…

My mother had left work early to “catch” my father because she suspected that something was amiss. She was eavesdropping as she had been secretly standing outside our front door which my dad had left open. She charged in after they hanged up… My parents then screamed and fought with each other, and my mum even used the broomstick… I think it lasted for at least an hour. I was at a complete lost.

I felt a deep sense of betrayal by my father’s actions to say the least but I have since moved on from that incident… thanks to the support I received from those closest to me... You know who you are. :)  I believe my father is no longer in contact with that woman now.

I can comprehend how Jack Neo’s children must feel now... Trust me when I say that  adultery is a big deal… It’s not something that will be eradicated from the minds of his wife and children.

Yet,I believe there is still hope. His wife seems like a really strong and gracious woman who is able to forgive him of his misgivings. If Jack is truly sorry for his mistakes and will stop seeing any other women; and keep his eyes glued only to his wife of 20 over years for the rest of his life… I believe all is not lost, and that his children can also come to forgive their father if he is truly repentant.

I found what netizen,@dillyrious, proclaimed on Twitter yesterday somewhat disturbing. She said, “ It frustrates me when Jack Neo is referred as SG's most successful director which reflects how bad SG’s taste is.”

Hello, how many prominent directors are there in Singapore? If it’s not Jack Neo, not Royston Tan then who else can it be? If an artist commits crimes, does it mean that we must boycott his movies? Does it means his movies no longer have any value? We don’t give an artiste any room for errors, do we? Can we not separate an artiste from his art? Are we really that shallow, my fellow Singaporeans?

When Jack Neo bounces back from this saga and makes movies in the future which I believe he will… I will still continue to support them just like I have ever since I was a little girl. Not that I adore Jack Neo but simply because I’m a movie buff and find his films entertaining enough for local standards. Even though the actors in his company might leave, I believe there are many other actors out there who are just as competent, and he can start anew. The human spirit is tenacious. So don’t give up on yourself now Jack! Whatever that doesn’t kill you can only make you stronger!

Don’t get me wrong, I’m not trying to downplay his mistakes here. Neither do I condone his actions. Yes, I understand the outrage that many must feel by his complete lack of morals, even though his movies reflect moral values, especially when my father himself had an extra-marital affair… However, what Jack and his family need now, is not another critical Singaporean OR another self-righteous Christian throwing stones or huge rocks at him; what they need now is some personal space and support from friends and church leaders as the fate of the Neo family is at stake and because he must be feeling like the most condemned and ashamed person in the entire world at this point in time and that is a horrible, horrible place to be in. I know it might be hard for you, oh holy ones, to imagine that but I felt a pinch of that in comparison when I had a saga with my relatives during the CNY period.

I think that Jack Neo should not wait till the dust is settled before speaking out, he should do it now and do it fast because the truth will set people free. Or else, the public will just keep speculating about the affairs and tian you jia chu or women that were linked to Jack Neo in the past would just keep spilling the beans. Am I right to think this way, Pastor Tan?

If I’m from City Harvest, why am I not keeping all these to myself you may ask? Surely there is nothing to be proud of by associating myself as a fellow church member of Jack Neo? Or, surely I should learn to protect the reputation of a fellow church member?

I chose to blog about this simply because I have many thoughts on the issue and believe that things happen for a reason - they need to be brought to light so that we can learn from them, and not just conveniently sweep dirty dust under the carpet. It really helps no one in the long run. I have swept too many things under the carpet for too many times so much so that the dust accumulates, seeps out of the carpet, chokes and eventually kills me. I hope City News Weekly will publish an article about it this weekend. This is what I call real news - no matter how ugly it may be, it is life in all it’s reality and there is really no point in hiding or keeping silent.

I’m also hoping to see that Singaporeans will prove me wrong. That we are not who I think we are - a bunch of highly educated, highly moralistic and highly critical people who are quick to judge another for their misgivings.

That said, Mistubishi just dropped Jack as an endorser of it’s air-cons… and I don’t like it. If our local reporters are as earnest as the paparazzi of the west, I bet more scandals would surface in the media and no less than 3 out of every 10 celebrities would be found to be living in some secret sin at some point in their life. I’ve said it before and I’ve said it again, human beings are fragile and imperfect, and anyone and everyone is capable of falling into sin, and that includes church pastors, monks, politicians, celebrities and myself. What is gonna happen then? Drop a celebrity every time his scandal breaks out? Leave a church every time the pastor commits a hideous crime? Life is too unstable if we were to base all our faith, destiny or even a brand upon the morality of a fellow human being. It would be like building your house on sand or straw and not on concrete.

If there is anything that I’ve learnt from this hullabaloo, it is that reputation is but fleeting. One minute you can be the world’s most applauded and loaded billionaire golfer or a highly appraised director and the next minute you can become the most disgraced person on planet earth. What’s the point of putting up a pretty front all the time when almost all of us have some skeletons or unglamorous things in our closet? Eventually, they will all surface one day one way or another. So with this blog, I attempt to “sabotage” myself first before someone else does. ;)

Btw, I’ve been following Jack Neo's Blog for more than a year now; his latest entry on the release of Being Human was posted just last Thursday. Jack, of course, does not talk about his extra-marital affairs on his blog but I wished he had did so openly or at least had shared his struggles in a subtle manner because if he had done that, I believe he wouldn’t be in such deep shit now... At least it didn’t have to take an ugly unhappy mistress to spill the beans! :) He also uses Twitter, betcha didn't know that! =p

Man, it takes so much hard work to write an entry like that. To end off on a "lighter"  note, check out this video produced by a 21-year-old “filmmaker”, it won a Nuffnang award. I thought it’s really entertaining, hahaha. With such talent around, there’s still hope for the entertainment scene in Singapore!

Suntec City Convention Hall, the New City Harvest Location?

I chanced upon this online... zoom in to see the details.

Suntec Convention Hall seems to fit the descriptions well, it is central and can accommodate 12,000 seats. I heard that Suntec isn't doing very well in the books with all the sprouting malls in S'pore and hence I infer that they would likely be keen to sell the Hall to us... Imagine 20,000 more people eating at restaurants in Suntec City every weekend! Ka-ching! =D

However, I think I'll be a little disappointed if it really is Suntec Convention Hall... because:

1. It's not a new building.

I've been dreaming of an iconic, state of the art structure... Victor brought up a good point, in the bible, no church congregation took over buildings yeah? They built the church from the ground up, especially in the Old Testament. But then again, Singapore is extremely small and has too many restrictions for us to build something large to accommodate all 27,000 of us in the central area and yet not be too costly at the same time. And our rent at Expo every weekend is NOT cheap. We need to move and we need to move fast. Not to mention every year getting shoved around from Hall 8 to Hall 1!

2. It's at least a 15 minutes walk from City Hall Mrt!

Hopefully by the time we move in, I would already own a car but if not then.... I can't wear uncomfy heels to church anymore! Haha! Okay I sound like a bimbo. But really, I can imagine myself calling cg members at 5.25pm when service starts at 5.30pm...

Me: "Hello, where are you?"

Member: "I'm at CityLink, walking over!"

Me: "Service starting in 5 mins still walking over huh."

Me to usher trying to take away the seats,
" My members are coming already!!! "

I'll end up quarreling arguing with the ushers as usual. *Faints*

LOL.

3. Hmm, where are the annual IT Fairs that are usually at  Suntec gonna be held then? I don't want the public to throw stones at us.

Some members of the public have been throwing enough stones at us already, if we antagonize them any further, I don't think they're gonna be very nice. But then again, those people aren't nice to us right from the start, wacking us to no end in the forums.  No matter what we do, they still won't be happy so... who cares. :)

Come to think of it, Suntec Convention Hall really isn't such a bad place afterall, it's really right smack central in S'pore and it sure beats having to travel to Expo every weekend. And there are a lot of eateries to choose from.  Aaron Lee Kwang Siong, I want to buy a house that is on the East West line so I can be near church, near everything. Go opm at Suntec can walk home after that, hahahaha kidding!

Wherever it is, I trust Pastor Kong that it will be the best location for our church, given the circumstances. He is one of the greatest men that I've ever known.  Just one more day to knowing but the crux is really raising the $310 million for it. I think we've raised about $100 million so far already? Just another $210 million to go! Hahaha. We can do this! :)

P.S: I'm contemplating on going to S1 instead with Jamie tmr so you Tweeters won't spoil it for me! Hahaha!

We Had Fits Over This

Did you get my sarcastic humor? :)

The video editor has finally finished his masterpiece
after 4 days of losing sleep over it.

Show him some love if you like it!
I don't know if I have anymore left to give.
All the quarreling has affected me.

My fave part is of course the ending, I think you'll know why. :)
Maybe I've been singing the chorus of Bad Romance so often
that it becomes a reality in my life! So shingz! Hahaha!
Ris Low has RSVPed "Attending" to Fashion In The Sky! ;)
I really hope she comes, I wanna talk to her!

If only I know how to edit videos myself
then I don't have to depend on someone else to do it!
But I know I'll pull all of my hair out before I succeed, hahaha!

Anyway, you can help the Haitians
rebuild their lives by donating via Give.sg.
Every dollar counts.

The media isn't reporting much about them now
but they're still suffering from the
aftermath of the devastating earthquake.

Last but not least

It's Complicated

I quarreled with the boyfriend yet again. And this time it's over video editing for Fashion In The Sky photo shoot and fitting session. I had told him that I wanted the video by 12 midnight yesterday and he only told me that that couldn't be done just 2 hours before. He didn't give me an alternative earlier, he didn't respond to my suggestions, he didn't asked for the videos to be given to him earlier, nothing. And he expects me to not be upset with him.

Why couldn't he just told me that he's not up for it? I could have found someone else to help instead of putting my hopes in him. I'm in charged of video hosting and publicity for the event and naturally I would be most urgent about it being put up on the web as soon as possible so that I can attract more people to attend the event. And we are only less than 6 days away from it.

I'm disappointed. Men have disappointed me so many times.... Yesterday, Enrique was supposed to come and help me with video shooting and he fly aeroplane one hour before the photoshoot. And I had to frantically look for videographers and thank God for Wilson Chua who referred me to Shyan who referred me to Eugene Soh, and he brought his friend William Paul Orchard along. And mind you, they were complete strangers to me and yet they came and help out for hours despite such last min notice with no complaints. They even had so much fun. And I was so happy interviewing the make-up artists, the blogshop owners and the models, chattting with everyone, etc.

And when I got home at 10ish? Bam. There were rice beads all over the floor, in the living room, kitchen, toilets, everywhere and furniture was shifted, and it looked worst than before. Who did that? My father. Why did he do it? To apparently chase away evil spirits in the house. As if evil spirits will be afraid of rice beads!? The maid is gonna be really pissed when she comes over tmr to see how messed up the house is. And it's not me, none of it is me. Please never associate the mistakes of my father with me, we are two separate people. His mistakes have got nothing to do with me and I am not responsible for his mistake, period.

Just what is wrong with men? I have seen great men but they are few and far between. Even the anointed Benny Hinn is getting a divorce. Maybe I should stop dreaming about getting married and living my happily ever after. Maybe I should marry a woman so I never have to be disappointed the way I'm always disappointed with men. Maybe I should just stay single and unattached for the rest of my life and become a nun or something. Lol.

Today's entry could have been titled, "It's A Wrap!" and the Youtube video of the photoshoot pasted here. But no, it's titled "It's Complicated." because life is never as simple as I had imagined or wanted it to be. Not to mention the shocking news I saw this morning... Life is complicated, very complicated and I'll be lying to you if I say I never have to deal with stupid people or any issues or struggle through them.

What a great way to start off my March 2010! HA.
